Good questions

Do I file a separate New York City return?+

No. As a Staten Island resident, your NYC income tax is calculated on your New York State return. It's one state return, but it has to be done right, because city tax is a real line item for most families.

When is my return due?+

April 15, 2027 for your 2026 return. An extension (Form 4868) gives you until October 15 to file, but any tax owed is still due in April.

I'm self-employed or drive for an app. Can you help?+

Yes. Schedule C income, estimated tax payments, home office and vehicle deductions are a big part of what we do. If you run a business in the city, we'll also check whether NYC's Unincorporated Business Tax applies to you.

I got a letter from the IRS. What now?+

Don't ignore it and don't pay it blindly. Many notices are wrong or fixable. Send it with your intake form and we'll tell you what it means.

Do I have to come to the office?+

Not at all. Our office is at 4218 Amboy Road if you'd like to sit down with us, but you can also send everything to us without coming in.

Get on the calendar before the April rush.
